The Blackburn Family had an enjoyable night at Fowlers Mill Golf Course in Chesterland on Thursday evening.
Together, Steve Blackburn Sr. and Steve Blackburn Jr. claimed the entire skins pot, and they each did so on par-5 holes.
Blackburn Sr. made eagle on the par-five 5th hole, and Blackburn Jr. made birdie on the par-five 8th hole, both of which earned the evening’s only skins.
The skins paid $218.50 each.
Blackburn Jr. moved up into second place on the 2012 Leaderboard in his effort to chase down leader Mark Foss, in hopes of capturing the Thompson Cup. He now sits just $140 behind.
Pin shot winners were Dave Sotka with the Mulligan’s pin shot on the 200-yard par three 3rd hole for $76.00, and newcomer Tony Schumacher of Cleveland Hts. won the pin shot on the 190-yard 7th hole for $57.00.
Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game travels to Erie Shores Golf Course in Madison starting at 5 pm. The course is in excellent shape and is offering the league a $16.50 green fees which includes the cart.
