“Hot and breezy” best describes the conditions at Powderhorn Golf Course in Madison at the Greater Cleveland Skins Game on Thursday night.
And “hot and breezy” can also describe the way Mike Angie played on Thursday as well.
Angie opened his round with a birdie on the long par four 10th hole to and take the first skin of the night.
Angie then took home the pin shot on the 14th hole, worth $51.
Finally, Angie added another birdie skin on the par-5 16th hole. Hot and breezy…
Dan Predovic added a skin to his total in his attempt to chase down leader Dave Sotka on the 2011 Leaderboard. Predovic made birdie on the 167-yard par three 14th hole for a skin, sinking a 15-foot putt. His seventh skin of the season puts Predovic into four-figures in winnings on the year and $231 behind the lead.
Steve Blackburn Jr. took home a skin with a 2-putt birdie on the short par four 15th hole.
And Joey DiDonato knocked in a 12-foot sidewinder putt on the 165-yard par three 17th hole to round out the skins on the evening.
Skins were worth $78.20 each.
Rounding out the winner’s list for the day, Carl “Unc” Quercioli won the Mulligans Pin Shot on the 17th hole, hitting it 8-feet away for $68.
Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game makes its first ever appearance at Sugar Bush Golf Club in Garrettsville with tee times starting at 5 p.m.
