Dave Sotka made his way back on top of the 2011 Greater Cleveland Skins Game Leaderboard, grabbing one of two skins won on the night at Erie Sores Golf Course on Madison.
While storms banged and blew all around the course, there was no rain at Erie Shores and the players went around under ideal conditions.
Sotka of Chardon birdied the short par-4 11th hole, giving him $184 on the night to pass multi-week leader Dan Predovic. Sotka now has his sights set on a second Thompson Cup, as he was the 2007 Greater Cleveland Skins Game Champion.
Joe Ignat grabbed the other skin won on the night with a birdie on the par-5 13th hole. Ignat is quietly moving up the leaderboard; he’s now in third place with $513 after winning $184 on the night.
Pin shot winners were Mike Angie capturing the Mulligan’s Pin Shot on the 210 yard 12th hole for $64, and Erie Shores member Brian Perkins, who hit it to 15 feet on the 176-yard 16th hole, good for $48.
Next Thursday, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game moves to Chardon Lakes Golf Course with play starting at 5 p.m.
