Birdies were scarce on the treacherous greens of Wicked Woods Golf Course in Newbury on Thursday night in the Greater Cleveland Skins Game.
Four holes had no birdies on them at all, including the easily-reachable par-5 13th hole.
But three players still found paydirt.
Brian Pentek bridied the 10th hole with a 10-foot putt claiming the first skin of the night, good for $107.33.
Dave Sotka moved into third place on the season-long leaderboard by making birdie on the 11th hole.
And the final skin of the night was won by Steve Blackburn Sr. with a 15-foot putt on the uphill 140 yard par-3 14 hole.
Pin shot winners on the night were Geoff Nicely on the 14th hole and Rob Shustrich (who is still celebrating his Greater Cleveland Shoot-Out victory on Labor Day Monday) on the 15th hole. Pin shots were worth $49 each.
Next Thursday, September 16th, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game moves to Madison Country Club starting at 4:30 pm with a greens fee/cart rate of just $25. Please note this is a change to the original schedule.
