26 players teed it up Thursday on a beautiful sunny afternoon at Thunder Hill Golf Club in Madison, and five players ended up taking home skins.
Eddie Neer started the day by nearly holing out on the very first hole, making the birdie that held for an early skin.
Mark Kovacic double-dipped for his first-ever cash in the Greater Cleveland Skins Game, hitting a pin shot to six feet on the third hole and then making the putt for birdie that held up for a skin.
Dave Smith made the only birdie on the relatively easy par-5 fourth hole, and he did it with a 40 foot putt that held for a skin.
And Bob Karshner made a 20 foot putt on the difficult par-4 fifth hole that also held for a skin.
The shot of the day came from Mark Julius, who canned his second shot on the par-4 sixth hole from 98 yards for eagle and a skin.
Brian Pentek also cashed for the first time with a great pin shot on the 215-yard ninth hole, to 4 feet. Brian made birdie, but that difficult par 3 had 2 other birdies.
Skins were worth $119.60 each, and pin shots netted $91.00 each.
Tom Evans is still the man on top of the leaderboard after Week 3, coming off his record-setting skin last week.
Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins game moves to Fowlers Mill Golf Club in Chesterland, where participants can play for $20 green fees that includes the cart.
