Zoar Golf Club has agreed to act as the title sponsor for Northern Ohio Golf’s Fantasy Golf Series for the 2023 season.
The Zoar Golf Club Fantasy Golf Series will kick off February 1st, launching in time for the PGA TOUR’s WM Phoenix Open over Superbowl weekend.
The Series will consist of 12 events during the 2023 PGA TOUR season:
WM Phoenix Open
Genesis Invitational
Arnold Palmer Invitational
The Players Championship
The Masters
PGA Championship
Memorial Tournament
U.S. Open
The Open Championship
FedEx St. Jude Championship
BMW Championship
TOUR Championship
Northern Ohio Golf ran a beta test fantasy tournament two weeks ago during the Sentry T of C, and the results were solid. The participants found it super easy to use the Majors Challenge fantasy software. Contestants picked 12 PGA TOUR players for the week, with the top-8 scores from those picks counting as the team score. The competition went down to the final holes, with the live leaderboards making the action fun to watch.
Going forward, the entry fee will be $10 per team entered (payment via Venmo or Strike), and players may enter up to three teams per event. Prize payouts will be made for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place after each event, all ties split. 100% of the entry fee money collected from each event will be paid back out as prizes in shares of 50% / 30% / 20%.
