Not yet signed up for the annual Yankee Run 5-Man Scramble on Sunday, April 29th in Brookfield?
You are probably out of luck; the “waiting list” is already seven teams deep.
The 36-team field is already filled for this well-attended annual event. Additional teams interested in playing can put their names down with the pro shop by calling 330-448-8096. But expectations to make the field should be low.
(Perhaps Yankee Run should consider returning to the days of ‘two waves’ with only 24 teams on the golf course in each wave. It would make for a faster round and increase the size of the field for the players and course revenues. Win-win-win!)
UPDATE: Reply from Patti at Yankee Run to the suggestion posted above: “Thanks Allen for the ink…..we have tried the double shotgun. Could not fill it. But we never thought of the 24 team entry for each shotgun. Good suggestion. It would play a lot faster. I will address that next year with Paul……have a great day….Patti”
