The Fairways at Twin Lakes will host its monthly amateur 2-Man Scramble Tournament Series once again in 2014.
But this year, there is a new dimension that will add even more interest to each event: a season-long points race with prizes awareded to the top 10 finishers, including a guaranteed first place points list prize of $500!
This year-long points race will be known as the Twin Lakes Series Championship. Players who compete in the monthly Scramble Series events from April through November will earn points for any top finish in each month. The monthly points will be tallied and at the end of the year, the top 10 points earners will win bonus money, golf passes and other prizes!
The entire points system and prize list will be announced before the first event in April, but the first place prize is set and guaranteed: $500.
This bonus pool is offered to players in addition to the great prizes The Fairways pays out every month. Tournament Director Chris Plute will continue his practice of paying back to the players 100% of all of the Scramble Series tournament entry fees and skins game money collected. The 18-hole tournament greens fee with cart is just $30 per player (on a weekend no less!), so these events are truly player-focused and a great deal. Plus, The Fairways at Twin Lakes is always in great shape, and it’s a fun and challenging course that is perfect for these 2-man events.
The 2014 event dates of the Scramble Series are now posted to the Northeast Ohio Golf Tournament Calendar. Watch the website for updates each month on the Twin Lakes Series Championship, with the latest points list posted the week following each event!
