The Tigertown Open, played every year at The Elms of Massillon, has the biggest payout for a one-day professional golf event in the state of Ohio.
This year marks the 65th playing of the tournament, a long-running history.
Starting in 2016, Northeast Ohio Golf will cover the Tigertown Open in a more complete way: a full game story, player action photos, scores for all divisions.
We will also post results from the Tigertown Pro-Am + Shootout, played the day before the Open on Thursday, July 14th. In the Pro-Am, each pro plays his own ball while the 3-amateur team plays scramble, and the two scores are combined for the pro-am score. Immediately following the pro-am, the 7 lowest-scoring pros head out for an elimination Shootout with a big cash prize of $1,000 to the Shootout winner, $750 for second place, $500 for third, on down to $150 for the last spot!
