Thunderbird Hills Announces Pro-Am Scramble

Thunderbird Hills Golf Course Huron OhioBack in the late 1970s and early 80s, Thunderbird Hills Golf Course in Huron hosted some of the biggest scramble events in the country on the old-style layout now known as its North Course.

Year after year, 60+ pro-am teams of four players each would fill up two waves of shotgun starts, all playing for one big prize payout and a big skins pot. It was strong competition, as everyone in Northeast Ohio who loved tournament golf played.

But as new area golf courses began to be built offering similar tournaments, over time that 4-man scramble faded away.

This Fall, Todd Palmer and his crew at Thunderbird Hills are launching a brand new scramble event.

This time, it will be held at their sweeping South Course, which opened in 1995.

A 2-player pro-am with a big cash payout, a big skins game, steaks after the event.

Sunday, September 13th, 8:30a shotgun start. (That way you can stick around after the tournament, eat and watch the Browns open their season away against the Jets!)
