The Medalist Tour has canceled its Mahoning County Classic scheduled for Thursday, June 3rd at Doughton Golf Club in Hubbard. The small number of player registrations and a golf course that might not be well suited to a professional event led to the late decision.
But on the flip side, that’s good news for the players who are competing in the next tournament…
The next event on The Medalist Tour schedule is The Aurora Open at Aurora Country Club on Thursday June 10th. The skins pot from the tournament at Portage Country Club was a carry-over, meaning there is an extra $840 up for grabs in skins pot at Aurora! A skins pot of about $2,000 is expected to be in play, along with the standard individual stroke play prizes. Entry deadline is end of day this Monday, June 7th; submit an entry here.
