Silver Lake’s Ryan Armour finished in solo second place yesterday after the final round of the 2018 Quicken Loans National, played at TPC Potomac outside the nation’s capital on the PGA TOUR.
Armour shot 66-65-68-68=267 to finish 13-under par, eight shots behind run-away winner Francesco Molinari but one clear third place finisher Sung Kang.

The result was a big week, as Armour earned $766,800 for the event, grabbed one of the qualifying spots in the Open Championship at Carnoustie, and now sits in 30th position on the 2018 FedEx Cup rankings — a position that would get him into the PGA Championship and into the finals of the FedEx Cup playoffs in Atlanta in September if maintained…
