RESULTS: 2020 NOPGA Shoot-Out at Shaker

The team of Mitch Camp and Bill McKinley won the seventh annual Northern Ohio PGA Shoot Out at Shaker, at Shaker Heights Country Club on October 13th.

Each year, the Northern Ohio PGA tournament season culminates with the Shoot Out at Shaker. This event celebrates the Northern Ohio PGA Professional who teaches, inspires and grows the game of golf. The top 30 off the points list, the top 10 off the senior point list and any past champions are invited to this fun event at Shaker Heights Country Club.

The top 4 teams from the blind draw four-ball portion of the event — Mitch Camp/Bill McKinley; Jim Troy/Jordan Paolini; Gary Rusnak/Nick Myers; Cory Kumpf/Steve Weir — started the Shoot Out on the first hole at Shaker. After all teams made a par in the alternate shot format, the team of Kumpf/Weir were eliminated after chip-off.

The remaining three teams moved to hole #8. The team of Rusnak/Myers was eliminated after making a bogey.

The remaining two teams of Camp/McKinley and Troy/Paolini then moved on to hole #9. After both teams made a par on the par-3 ninth, both teams replayed the ninth hole again to determine the Champion. The team of Camp/McKinley won with a birdie-2 to be crowned the 2020 Shoot-Out at Shaker Champions.
