It was a picture perfect day at Firestone for the final Individual event of the 2024 NOGA Sikich Net Series on Tuesday. The Fazio course hosted nearly 100 golfers in an Individual Stableford format, one of the most anticipated Net events on the schedule. With a net bogey worth 1 point, a par 2, a birdie 3, and an eagle 4, the highest point total after 18 holes would be the winner.
The winner in the Senior Division was Ben Aveniof Quail Hollow Country Club. Ben was able to claim a one-point victory over second place after finishing with a Stableford score of 37. That would be good enough to tie for the highest-point total in either division. Ben was able to par four of the six holes where he got a stroke, which would propel him to his first win of the 2024 season.
The Championship Division had two players finish at the top, Joseph Horvathof Brookledge Golf Course and Mike Kobelak of Pine Hills Golf Club. Both players finished with 37 total Stableford points. Horvath and Kobelak were both able to limit themselves to two holes where they accumulated 0 points, while also taking advantage of the holes where they received a stroke. The two would also match each other with seven holes where they recorded 3 or more points.
