On Monday, August 12th, the Northern Ohio Golf Association conducted the Scratch Series Stroke Play #3 at the beautiful Glenmoor Country Club in Canton.
Stow’s Kyle Buzaki shot 69 (-3) to win the Championship Division. He kept a clean scorecard on the front nine with birdies on holes 3, 4, and 6. Buzaki’s back nine wasn’t as smooth as his first, compiling two birdies but also a bogey and a double bogey through hole 14. Kyle finished on a high note, adding a final birdie on 16 to finish with a 69 (-3).
In the Senior Division, the two-time Player of the Year Mark Borlin carded the low score of the day. It was a tale of two nines for Borlin, as he was bogey-free and 3-under par going into the turn. He started strong with a birdie on 10 but then made three consecutive bogeys on holes 11 through 13. Mark kept his scorecard clean for the rest of the day and finished his round at -1 (71).
The next Great Lakes Auto Scratch Series event will be the 4th and final Stroke Play event of the season. The tournament will be on August 26th at Catawba Island Club. REGISTER HERE >
