The 2025 Northern Ohio Golf PGA TOUR Fantasy Series started in record fashion this past week with Hideki Matsuyama breaking the PGA Tour 72-hole scoring record with a 35 under par performance.
Paul Lagrotteria won the first fantasy series tournament of the year, with his four best players of six selections combining for 106 strokes under par. Paul’s top-4 included Collin Morikawa (-32), Sungjae Im (-29), Maverick McNealy (-23), and Taylor Pendrith (-22).
Allen Freeman took runner-up honors, falling short of victory by 13 shots at 93 under par.
The team of third-place finisher Joseph Sutter completed the four days of golf over the Kapalua Plantation Course another two shots behind Freeman, at 91 under par.
Not a single Fantasy Series player in the 17-entrant field selected the tournament winner, Hideki Matsuyama, for their team!
For their team selections, Lagrotteria won $85 for his title, Freeman earned $51 for finishing second, and Sutter $34 for third.
