It was a wild week to start the 2024 Northern Ohio Golf PGA TOUR Fantasy Series, as first and second place finished just one shot apart — at nearly 200 shots under par!
Dana Addis won our first Fantasy Series event of the year, with his 8 best players of 12 selections combining for 198 strokes under par. Addis’ top-8 included Viktor Hovland (-21), Xander Schauffele (-24), Scottie Scheffler (-25), Collin Morikawa (-25), Jordan Spieth (-27), Sahith Theegala (-28), Byeong-Hun An (-26), and Adam Hadwin (-22)
Reed Rusnak took runner-up honors, falling short of victory by just one shot at 197-under par.
The team of third-place finisher Seth Scala completed the four days of golf over the Kapalua Plantation Course another three shots behind, at -194.
Not a single Fantasy Series player in the 23-entrant field selected the tournament winner, Chris Kirk, for a team! Perhaps the Fantasy players of Northern Ohio need to loosen up a bit more on picking long shots, or perhaps garner a better understanding of golf rankings.
The difference-maker in the 2024 Sentry Fantasy results was fourth-column player Byeong-Hun An. An finished in solo fourth place at 26-under par, including a Sunday score of 7-under par. An was a selection on just four Fantasy teams, including the two teams that finished in first and second place.
For their team selections, Addis won $115 for his title, Rusnak earned $69 for finishing second, and Scala $46 for third.

The next events on the 2024 Northern Ohio Golf PGA TOUR Fantasy Series schedule will be three-in-a-row in February. The TOUR has two new ‘Signature Events’ at Pebble Beach (Feb 1-4) and Riviera (Feb 15-18), surrounding the always fun-to-watch WM Phoenix Open (Feb 8-11) during Superbowl weekend. So we’re going to run Fantasy events for ALL THREE!
