Tyler Hace (Willoughby) fired a 42-38–80 to win the Boys 16-19 division Wednesday at Manakiki. Tyler had two birdies, one on the tough eighteenth hole. Tyler was even par through the first 5 holes, then he went 6 over on his next 4 holes, but he pulled it together again on the back nine, where he had 6 pars and 1 birdie. Anthony Frank (Willoughby Hills) finished 3rd with 41-41–82. Anthony had 3 birdies. He birdie #1, #16 and #18 (Tyler’s skin didn’t hold up on #18, then). Andrew Betz (Mentor) and Kaiden Kohler (Bristolville) tied for 3rd with 84’s.
Noah Risman (Moreland Hills) won the Boys 15 & Under division with 43-41–84. Noah played steady and only posted one double bogey. He had 7 pars and kept everything else at bogey. This was Noah’s first win on tour. Will Cody (Shaker Hts) finished 2nd with 46-39–85. Will had a rough start. He was 7 over after his first three holes, but rebounded with a 39 on the back. Lincoln Miller (Concord) and William Mylen (Cleveland Hts) tied for 3rd with 94’s.
Macey McGhee (Independence) had 48-49–97 to win the Girls 19 & Under division. Macey is a great ball striker, but the greens got the best of her today.
