Paul Gibbons + Mike Gary of Chagrin Valley Country Club combined for a round of net 63 to finish the day at 9-under par. This would be just enough for the pairing to claim the victory in the first Sikich Net Series event of the season at Tippecanoe Country Club.
After finishing their round, the duo was quick to mention that they were in a similar position in this event last year. They left the course with the solo lead but were unable to hold on for the top spot in the match-play bracket. Today was a different story, as Gibbons and Gary did just enough to clinch home course advantage throughout the match-play bracket.
Griffin Todd + Garrett Frank of Tippecanoe Country Club and the NOGA Club East and Jarrod Dixon + Stephen Mihalek of the NOGA Club East and Portage Country Club finished at 8-under par, tied for second place.
Six teams would end up tied for fourth at 6-under par.
The next NOGA Sikich Net Series event is the Old Pal Four-Ball and Match Play Qualifier, which will be held on Wednesday, May 22, at Stone Oak Country Club in Holland.
