In Boys 16-19, Andrew Betz (Mentor) and Jackson Pinney (Hunting Valley) tied for first place with scores of 74 (+2). Andrew had three bogeys on his front nine but turned it around on the back with a 35 (-1). Not only was this Andrews first win on tour, it was his career low round. Andrew played his last 13 holes with 12 pars and one birdies (very solid play). Jackson had an up and down round, carding four birdies and six bogeys. Jackson made a 6 foot downhill putt for birdie on the 18th hole to tie for first place. Daniel Lust (Shaker Hts) and Sven Nielson (Hunting Valley) tied for 3rd place with a score of 78 (+6).
In the Boys 15&U Division, Will Cody (Shaker Hts) wins back to back tournaments this week with a score of 39-37–76 (+4). Will got off to a slow start but turned it around with a birdie on the tough par 4, 7th hole. He birdied hole 17 and 18 to win by 4 strokes. Will also won the overall boys in the JGS World Junior Ranking Series – #2 KikiSol with scores of 78-76–154. He won the two day event by six strokes over Andrew Betz to cap his impressive week of golf. Koen Van Scoy (Hudson) finished 2nd place with a score of 80. Lincoln Miller (Concord) finished 3rd with a 81. Lincoln made four birdies in his round.
Finally in the Girls 19&U Division, Elena Varga (Hudson) wins back to back tournaments with a score of 43-39–82 (+10). Elena struggled on a couple holes, but fought through those struggles making two birdies for her round. She was the only one in the field to birdie the par 3 8th hole. Blake Cody (Shaker Hts) finished 2nd place with a score of 87. Blake finished with a closing birdie on the 18th in front of a nice size gallery of her fan club.
