Marcus Berriors (Concord) and Domenic Pilla (Highland Hts) tied for 1st place in the Boys 16-19 division with a score of 80 (+8). Both players struggled on their front nines because of the cold, windy conditions. Marcus shot +2 on the back nine with a birdie on the 16th hole. Domenic shot +1 on his back nine. He didnt have any birdies, but he strung together eight straight pars to close out his round. Peyton O’Keefe (Moreland Hills) finished in 3rd place.
Boys 14-15
Will Cody (Shaker Hts) won the Boys 14-15 division with a 39-39–78 (+6). Will had the low round for the tournament and this is his second year in a row he won his division at Manakiki. Will didn’t make any birdies for his round but he had 13 pars, and that was enough to hold off Lincoln Miller (Concord) who finished 2nd place with a score of 81 (+9). Lincoln had two good birdies on the back nine, (hole 11 +0.62 scoring average for the day) and (hole 14 + 0.12). Jacob Rainieri (Magadore) finished 3rd with a 86.
Girls 19 & Under
Elena Varga (Hudson) won the Girls 19 & Under division with a score of 48-42–90 (+18). Elena battled the tough conditions and was able to put together a solid back nine. Elena made one birdie for her round on the par 3 11th hole. She played the par threes at +1 for the day. Lily Andrews (Solon) finished 2nd place with a 110.
Mini Tour
Hamilton Miller (Concord) wins his third consecutive tournament with a score of 50. Hamilton got off to a rough start on the first hole but, settled down nicely, by going +1 on his next two holes. Hamilton made two pars for his nine holes. Jaxson Trebets (Chesterland) finished second with a score of 51.
