The Northern Ohio PGA held its first event of the year, the 36-hole Pro-Pro Premier better ball event at Firestone Country Club on April 17-18. Despite challenging weather conditions marked by strong winds and cold temperatures, Michael Balcar from Brandywine Country Club and his amateur partner Nick Paxos came in with a combined score of 7-under par 135. They won by three shots over Randy Dietz of Windmill Golf Center and Cory Kumpf of Brookside Country Club.
