Zoar Golf Club hosted its annual Senior Amateur Championship on Sunday afternoon. The tournament held competitions in three divisions by age bracket.
Wheeling WV’s Gary Schrickel came out on top of the 70+ year old division with a 4-under par (33-35) 68, edging Waynesburg’s Ron Burkhart by three shots.
Brunswick’s Randy Crider successfully defended his title in the 60+ age division by firing a 3-under par back nine to post 4-under par 68 to edge out Cleveland’s Ron Rositani by a single shot.
The 50+ age division came down to the final few holes. Stow’s Dave Trier made birdie on the 17th hole to take the lead and made par on 18 to shoot 1-under par 71 and squeak past his playing competitor Dean Cutlip of Copley.
