The Northern Ohio PGA Junior Tour had a full field of junior golfers at Lake Forest Country Club for their fifth scheduled event of the year. PGA Professional John Goodson hosted the event and has been at Lake Forest for 32 years!
In the Boys 16-19 division, Liam Curtis secured his first victory of the 2022 season firing a 3-over par 75 for a two shot victory over Trey Lautenschleger. Curtis carded three birdies on the day to help propel him to his victory.
In the Boys 11-15 division, Daniel Gambone and Ben Fauver split the first place prize today with a solid 6-over par 78. Finishing in third place with an 82 was Sam Fauver.
In the Girls 16-19 division, Cara Heisterkamp shot the low round of the day with a two-over par 74 besting second place finisher Sophia Rosa by seven shots. Heisterkamp had two birdies in her round today and only carded four bogeys on a tough Lake Forest golf course.
In the Girls 11-15 division, with her first victory of this NOPGA Junior Tour season, Sherry Du fired an 80 today to take home the title. This was good enough for a three shot victory over second place finisher Isabella Anderson.
The next stop on the NOPGA Junior Tour is June 3rd at Black Brook Golf Club.
