The Northern Ohio PGA Junior Tour visited Riceland Golf Course in Orrville, Ohio on May 28th. PGA Professional Larry Lisic hosted the event that has been at Riceland for over 38 years!
In the Boys 16-19 division, Ethan Hughes captures his first NOPGA Junior Tour win with a one over par 72 today. Sion Park, Liam Curtis, and Carter Begue all finished in a tie for second place with two over par 73.
In the Boys 11-15 division, we had two players tie for the lowest score of the day. Sam Fauver and Alexander Eckstein both finished the day with a two over par 73. This is Eckstein’s first victory on the NOPGA Junior Tour this season while Fauver wins his third consecutive event!
In the Girls 16-19 division, Sophia Rosa finished with a total of four birdies in her round today allowing her to climb to a three shot victory over Siena Maschke. Rosa finished with a total of one over par 72 and Maschke finished with a four over 75.
In the Girls 11-15 division, Maureen O’Leary earns her first NOPGA Junior Tour victory by firing an eight over par 79. Finishing just one shot behind Maureen were Gracyn Vidovic and Alyssa Zhang who both shot nine over par 80.
The next stop on the NOPGA Junior Tour is May 31st at Lake Forest Country Club.
