Today at Chippewa, our players raved about their experience on the course. Many of the players enjoyed the course thoroughly and claimed the course was in excellent condition. We hosted both our Junior Series as well as our Futures Tour here today and both groups seemed to have a wonderful time. We had many great scores today at Chippewa, which was great to see as this course provides a reasonable challenge.
In the Boys 16-19 Division, Jack Myslenski and Maxwell Devins tied for the lead at even par, 71. This is Myslenski’s second win this week, as he won Monday at Pine Hills. In the Girls 16-19 Division, Kaitlin Kormuth also came in with an even par, 71. This allowed Kormuth to lead her division by three shots.
In the Boys 11-15 Division, Michael Tyler Polca took home his second win of the season with a two over par, 73 today. Polca finished his round today with consecutive birdies on 17 and 18. In the Girls 11-15 Division, Julia Van Bokkelen came in with a six over par, 78 to take home the win. This is Van Bokkelen’s first tournament win, and we are very proud of her as she has played in many events with us.
Now for the Future’s Tour results. In our Boys 12-16 division, Devin Miller came in with a two over par, 38. In the Girls 12-16 Division, Elena Varga took home her sixth win of the season today as she came in with a one over par, 37. In the Boys 8-11 Division, Coleson Paez took home his third win of the season with a two over par, 38. In the Girls 8-11 Division, Anna Phillips took home her fourth win of the season today with a one under par, 35.
We again would like to thank Dan Terry, PGA for allowing us to host here at Chippewa. We saw many great scores throughout the day and we all enjoyed our Friday on the course.
