The Northern Ohio PGA Junior Series traveled to Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton Ohio today for the next stop on the Junior Tour. The weather and the golf course were both shining today for most of the day as the near 85 golfers made their way around this difficult track.
In the Boys 16-19 division, Connor Malicki continued his stellar play as of late and carded a two under par 70. Conner finished the day with six birdies in his round on his way to a four shot victory. Michael O’Leary finished the day in second place with a two over par 74. After a double bogey start Michael finished the last 17 holes even par.
In the Boys 11-15 division, Ethan Cooper was the only player to break 80 in his division. Finishing with a 78 he was the winner of his division by five shots. Finishing in a tie for 2nd were four players with a score of 83. Michael Tyler Polca, Patrick Myers, Max Leombruno, and Alexander Stiegele all tied for second place.
In the Girls 16-19 division, Kalira Paramore carded an eight over 80 to secure the victory today. Finishing in second place today with an 82 was Kiley Cline.
In the Girls 11-15 division, In her first year in our 18 hole division, Ellie Gonzalez-Ribble finished with an 83 securing her first victory of the NOPGA Junior Tour season. Finishing in second place with an 84 was Maureen O’Leary.
The next stop on the NOPGA Junior Tour is June 9th at Avon Oaks Country Club.
