RESULTS: 2022 GG Dickey Electric Junior Series

Hot play matched the hot temperatures Wednesday at Squaw Creek Avalon Country Club as The Greatest Golfer teed off its third ‘Joe’ Dickey Electric Juniors Series event of the summer.

Zach Ross of Moon Township and Rocco Turner of Tippecanoe Country Club carded 76s to lead the u17 Boys Division.

Matilyn Zines of Links at Firestone Farms shot 82 to top the u17 Girls. Zines’ first hole eagle start gave way to some bad points she had to overcome. “I started getting a bit down on myself and worry. But then I just relaxed a little, and I got some pars and then birdied a hole.”

In u14 Girls play, Aubree Philibin of Mill Creek Golf Course posted a 90.

Andrew Fredenburg of Old Avalon Golf Course and Jackson Ensley of The Lake Club posted 84s to led their u14 Boys division.

Zines and Philibin earn finals seats outright. In scorecard playoffs, Ross and Ensley earn finals seats over Turner and Fredenburg.

Greatest Juniors tee off twice next week: Tuesday at Mill Creek starting at 8 a.m.; on Wednesday at Pine Lakes starting at 10:30 a.m.
