After a few rumbles of thunder early in the day, blue skies were plentiful in the afternoon for the Northern Ohio PGA’s Cobra/Puma Pro / 1 Am Scratch at the Mayfield Country Club in Cleveland.
The team of Erie Shores Golf Course professional Nick Gustin and amateur Phil Bojc turned at respectable 3-under par, but then caught fire on the back nine. They made six birdies and an eagle to shoot an inward 27 and finish with an 11-under par total score of 60, good for a two shot victory.
The team of pro Michael Balcar and am Nolan Marks finished in second place with 9-under par 62, three shots clear of third.
