What a way to get the season rolling!
Scott Gwin and Ted Dickerhoof posted a 12-under par 60 at The Quarry 2-Man Scramble on Saturday in Canton, and won two of three skins earned on the day in the process.
Making the only birdie out of 40 teams at the long par-4 second hole, then adding a hole-out eagle-2 at the uphill par-4 13th, the pair nipped the 11-under par 61 score of Ken Koprivec and Mike Simpson by a single shot.
Third place finishers Dave Oates and Rob Wakeling made eagle-2 at the par-4 fourth hole to take the third skin. Oates and Wakeling posted a sizzling front nine score of 8-under par on their way to 62.
The weather was fantastic and the golf course was in great condition, especially for the first weekend in April.
