RESULTS: 2020 Crooked River Scramble

The inaugural Crooked River Scramble at Valleaire Golf Club in Hinckley went to a playoff, but that playoff didn’t last long. After tying at 19-under par, the two 4-player teams of Mashers and Raid took to the 400-yard first hole to determine a winner. From 78 yard out, Chris Skripac hit the shot of a lifetime, holing out for eagle-2 on the par-4 and earning the $3,500 first place prize for teammates Tyler McHugh, Kerry Rudd and Dan Mosher.

  1. If my math is correct $74 per player was missing from the pot. Only $7,970 was paid out from the $16,800 collected based on 30 teams. Im sure the golf course took their portion. Say $40/player. Is it typical for a committee to rake $35 per guy? Someone questioned it to one of the guys running the tournament but he said not much was taken out.
