Jaydon Thammachack (Akron, above) scored his second hole-in-one of the season today on the ninth at Madison Country Club. He hit a 5-iron from 205 yards into the hole. Jaydon is the first NCJT player in 28 years to score two Hole-In-Ones in the same season — that’s over 5,000 junior tour players! So, history was made today in a big way. Congratulations to Jaydon! Jaydon made two eagles on his first nine today, which is also impressive.
Ryan Green (Conneaut) and Connor Gdovin (Highland Hts) tie for low today at Madison Country Club with rounds of 72. Ryan bogeyed his first and last holes of the day, but played one under on the middle 16 for his 36-36–72. Connor shot 35-37–72 with 13 pars and 2 birdies. Ian Diffenbacher (Painesville) shot 38-36–74 to take 3rd place in the Boys 16-19 division.
In the Boys 14-15 division, Robert Kimmel (Shaker Hts) edged out Christopher Bridge (Shaker Hts) by 2 strokes to win at Madison. Robert shot 35-40–75 (+4) with 4 birdies. Christopher bogeyed 3 of his last 4 holes to shot 38-39–77. Domenic Pilla (Highland Hts) finished 3rd with 46-38–84.
Ella Wong (Pepper Pike) shot 39-36–75 (+4) with 2 birdies to win the Girls division. Ella’s 75 was her lowest career round in competition. Lauren Bangasser ( Concord) shot 45-43–88 to finish 2nd.
