Bentley Stover continues his remarkable tour season. Today at Signature of Solon, he bogeyed 3, 4 & 5 to go 3 over, then he gets back on track with 3 pars and then the fireworks start (perfect timing for the Firecracker week too), he birdied 6 of his last 10 holes to shoot 69 (-3) and win the Boys 16-19 division. He has a new putter and it was hotter-than-a-firecracker today. 6 Under on the last 10 holes is one of the best runs we have ever had on tour. Congratulations to Bentley on a great round!

We also saw other great rounds at the very hard Signature of Solon course. Nathan Godic and Drew Schnee fired 76’s to claim 2nd. Nathan’s round was helped by an eagle 3 on the par 5, 17th hole. Drew had 3 birdies and two of those were back-to-back during a needed bounce back after a par 5 double bogey on #11.

Connor Gdovin and Jake Sylak tied for 1st Place in the Boys 14-15 with 78’s. Robert Kimmel was one back at 79 and Samuel Marciano was two back at 80. Jake birdied the 1st hole, then he had a double, a quad and two bogeys over the next 7 holes to put him +7 thru 8. He then played the last 10 holes one under par to finish +6 (78), what a great turn around. Laine Hursh
Laine Hursh

Laine Hursh fired a 78 to finish 3 strokes ahead of Catherine Wang. Laine also added some fireworks to her round! She had an 8 hole stretch with only one par, the stretch also included 2 birdies, two bogeys, a double and a triple. Outside of that she played solid, shooting -1 thru the first six holes and one over for the last four holes. Catherine was another player that added to the fireworks at the Firecracker. She had 5 birdies and 3 pars on her round, the rest where bogeys, doubles and a quad. She only had one par on the back nine and still shot an even par 36 on the nine (pretty amazing round).
