The Solon Comets finished undefeated in the Greater Cleveland Conference with a 163-167 victory over host Medina on Wednesday afternoon at Medina Country Club. In a dual between the two top players in the conference, Jennifer Wang and Medina’s Alyssa Drehs shared medalist honors with a two over par 37. Kathryn Cassidy shot a nine hole career low of 40 for the Bees and narrowly missed shooting in the 30’s as two birdie attempts in the last three holes lipped out. The Bees maintained a three shot lead with the first two players in the clubhouse, but the depth of Solon once again was the difference in this match. Catherine Wang came in with a 41 and Grace Gao a 42 to help clinch the regular season title.
