INDIVIDUAL RESULTS: Kent Roosevelt Junior Varsity Player Lauren Garner fired a 85 to finish second as an individual to lead the hosts to a six stroke victory. The medalist was Kiley Blachaniec of Copley who shot a 83 for the day. The highlight and the most heartwarming story was produced by Akron St. Vincent St. Mary’s Sarah Katherine Henderson. The challenging par four 5th hole was converted to a par three for the flight and numerous shots were close to Aces, but only Henderson was successful on the day. It was a very emotional moment as memories of grandmother Treva Hess flooded her thoughts after the ball fell in the hole. Mrs. Hess was instrumental introducing Sarah to the game and passed away just a few months back.

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS: Kent Roosevelts’ Kory Nielsen shot a four under par 68 to capture medalist in the P.M. Bracket. A balanced scoring attack propelled Highland to the team title with runner-up Christina Williams leading the way with a two under par 70. Madison Butler and Alicia Porvasnik each carded 78’s to finish tied for third. Medina Coach Mickey Mcgrath recorded her 304th victory with the Bees seventh place finish. PGA Golf Professional Tony Guerrieri and his staff are to be commended for their outstanding work for making things run smoothly.
