Mitch Camp made a hole-in-one with six-iron on the eighth hole from 183 yards.
After tomorrow’s second round, the field will be cut to the top twenty-five players and ties for Wednesday’s final round. The top four professionals will qualify for the 2023 PGA Professional National Championship at Twin Warriors & Santa Ana Golf Clubs in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico. Four alternates will also qualify, and the Northern Ohio PGA is first in the National Alternate list.

Mary Suitca leads the way in the Ladies Section Championship after round one at Westfield Country Club’s North Course. Tannenhauf’s Suitca shot 75 (+5) and attempts to win the Ladies Section Championship for the second year in a row. She is three strokes ahead of Trumbull Country Club’s Emily Heikkila who shot 78 (+8). The Ladies Section Championship is thirty-six holes with the final round being played tomorrow.
