The sunny summer day at Ohio Prestwick Country Club was Chamber of Commerce beautiful, the greens were in spectacular condition, and a talented field of amateur golfers of all ages competed in Round 1 of the 2019 Stark County Amateur Championship.
In the Championship Division, Aaron Crewse (above) and Kurt Peterson each shot 3-under par 69 at Prestwick and are tied for the lead after Round 1.
The Senior Division for players age 50-59 years old is led by Bobby Spino, who also posted a tidy 69 at Prestwick.
In the 60-69 group, Larry Lahnan (above) leads with a 1-over par 73.
And for the 70+ Senior Masters Division, Tom Stack leads the way after a solid 74.
