The deadlines to compete in the Matt Mishler Junior Portage County Amateur, the Portage County Amateur Championships and the Portage County Kids Amateur are fast approaching!
JUNIOR PORTAGE COUNTY AMATEUR
The JUNIOR PORTAGE COUNTY AMATEUR tees off at Windmill Lakes and Sunny Hill on July 20 and 21. Tee times will be in the Record-Courier on July 19.
Deadline to compete is this Saturday.
Juniors compete in three age groups for both boys and girls: 12 and under, 13 to 15 and 16 to 19.
Each junior receives $10 in gift certificates to spend at Sunny Hill and Windmill as the Amateur’s appreciation for competing.
90th PORTAGE COUNTY AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
This long-running event, presented by Windmill Lakes Golf Club, begins at Windmill Lakes on July 25 and concludes at Sugarbush on July 26.
Divisions for Portage County residents, golfers outside of Portage County and women compete in the 36-hole tournament.
Deadline to compete in the Amateur is July 19 to register for $75. Late registration is available through July 23 for $90.
Portage County KIDS AMATEUR
The KIDS AMATEUR is set for July 26 at Sunny Hill Golf Course as youth golfers compete in three age divisions on holes 19 thru 27.
Youths entering grades sixth to ninth play nine holes; entering grades fourth and fifth play six holes and grades three and under play four holes.
Portage County Senior Amateur
The 50th Portage County Senior Amateur on Aug. 29 and Aug 30 at Sugarbush and Windmill. Deadline for the Senior is Amateur is Aug 23.
