Two NEOH players had top-5 finishes at the U.S. Kids Golf Teen World Championship this past weekend at Pinehurst Resort, July 26-28th.
Akron’s Solomon Petrie (top) finished tied for second place in the Boys 14 Division with an even-par total, posting 74-71-71=216. He finished one shot behind the winner.
Barberton’s Nolan Haynes (above) earned a fifth place finish in the Boys 13 Division with 3-under par total for the 54 holes, shooting 71-68-74=213.
Both players were selected to represent the United States in the Van Horn Cup today, a junior Ryder Cup-style event played at Pinehurst #2.
