The Northern Ohio PGA is now accepting participants for its five Junior PGA Championship Qualifier events.
Each event is open to boy and girl golfers ages 13-18 who have not started college, or will turned 19 before the 2015 National Junior PGA Championship date of August 3. 2015 Qualifier Dates and Locations:
May 16 at Trumbull Country Club in Warren
May 23 at Riceland Golf Course in Orrville
June 4 at Avon Oaks Country Club in Avon
June 5 at Stone Oak Country Club in Holland
June 11 at Ellsworth Meadows Golf Course in Hudson.
Top boy and girl golfers from each qualifier event will earn the opportunity to compete in the Section Championship June 22-23 at Shady Hollow Country Club, in Massillon.
The top boy and girl finisher at the Section Championship will go on to represent the section in the national Junior PGA Championship at Miramont Country Club in Bryan, Texas, August 3-6, 2015, expenses paid by the PGA of America.
“The Junior PGA Championship has been a stepping stone to both collegiate and professional careers for many of golf’s past and current performers,” said Dominic Antenucci, Executive Director of the Northern Ohio PGA. “Our section’s qualifying events offer area golfers a tremendous opportunity to test their capabilities against the area’s, and hopefully, nation’s best.”
