NOPGA Looks to Reverse Fortunes in 2023 Ohio Cup

The Northern Ohio PGA team will be looking to end a rare two-year losing streak to its Southern Ohio PGA counterparts when the 27th Ohio Cup takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday at Worthington Hills Country Club near Columbus.

The Ohio Cup is a team competition with a Ryder Cup format, featuring 16-player squads, a 10-man Championship Division team and a 6-man Senior Division squad.

This marks the fourth time since the inaugural event in 1997, that the NOPGA will be looking to end a two-year losing streak, its longest in the event. The SOPGA won at Barrington Golf Club in 2022 (16.5-15.5) and at the Pinnacle Golf Course in 2021 (18-14).

However, the NOPGA still leads the series, 16-10.
