The Northern Ohio Section of the Professional Golfers Association of America will stage its final individual stroke-play event of 2021 on Monday and Tuesday with the playing of the Mitchell-Haskell Tour Championship at The Country Club in Pepper Pike.
The field for the 36-hole event will include any NOPGA member that has won a Section event in the current year, including former Section champions, match-play champions, as well as the top 30 members on the current NOPGA Points List and the top 10 apprentices and seniors off their respective points lists.
Jim Troy (Honma Golf) and Gary Rusnak (1899 Golf, Cleveland East) are expected to defend their respective Regular and Senior Division championships. Troy, who also won the event in 2018, shot 68-75—143 (1-under) last year while Rusnak shot 70-75—145 (1-over).
Tyler McHugh (Club Walden) winner of the Associate Division last year and Steve Parker (Portage CC), the runner-up in the senior division last year, also are entered, as is Walden’s Mitch Camp, fresh off his victory in the Senior Division of the Toledo Open last week.
Other former Mitchell-Haskell champions in the field include Randy Dietz (2019), Rob Moss (2012, 2017), Jaysen Hansen (2014) and three-time Senior winner Tom Atchison (2013, 2014, 2015).
