The Northern Ohio Golf Association has finalized its 2022 Tournament Schedule, after having announced its May events roster earlier this month.
The big news in that early announcement was the naming of Inverness as the host for the Interclub Team Championship, NOGA’s longest-running Scratch Series event.
Great Lakes Auto Scratch Series
The entirety of the Great Lakes Auto Scratch Series schedule for the 2022 season sees Barrington, Mayfield, Quail Hollow’s Devlin course, Plum Brook and Portage as hosts for its regular season events.
In early June, Windmill Lakes Golf Club in Ravenna will host once again the Northeast Ohio Amateur Championship and Northeast Ohio Women’s Amateur Championship.
Firestone Country Club’s West and South courses again will host the NOGA Tour Championship in September, to determine the Great Lakes Auto Player of the Year titles.
And the Lewis Cup returns to Westfield Country Club’s North and South courses in October for the second playing of Amateurs vs. Seniors, with rosters determined by the final POY points standings.
NOGA NET SERIES
The NOGA Net Series has been greatly expanded in 2022 to reach as many players as possible across the entire Northern Ohio region, including several events out toward the former Toledo District Golf Association.
Net handicap events in a variety of formats will be played at Shady Hollow, Elyria, Oberlin, Stone Ridge in Bowling Green, Stone Oak in Holland, Lake Forest, Sycamore Springs in Findlay, Glenmoor, Toledo CC, Westfield South, Sylvania, Red Tail, Belmont CC in Perrysburg, Catawba Island Club, and Firestone West.
