The Northern Ohio Golf Association (NOGA) Executive Committee has appointed Robb Schulze as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective November 15, 2015. Schulze will be the first CEO in the association’s almost 100 year history.
“As NOGA opens this new chapter of growth, the Executive Committee and I are confident Robb is the right person to lead the organization,” said President Paul Schlather. “We believe his passion for our mission and strong ties to the golf community will help ensure that NOGA continues to deliver valuable services that will have a positive impact on our membership and the local community.”
“I am honored and excited to be joining NOGA as their new CEO,” said Schulze, pictured at right. “The contributions NOGA and its Return To Golf® program have made toward promoting the game of golf in Northeast Ohio have been tremendous, so to be leading the organization into its next 100 years is very humbling.”
Prior to his role as NOGA CEO, Schulze was the Head PGA Golf Professional at Acacia Country Club for over ten years, until its closing after 2012. In those years at Acacia, he worked closely with NOGA in hosting numerous events.
Scotte Rorabaugh remain as the Executive Director of NOGA, focusing on the golf tournament and member club operations while also working closely with Schulze on other Association business. “Robb will be great for NOGA as we work to expand the Foundation and other fundraising efforts here,” Rorabaugh said by phone. “This just furthers our efforts to build on Return to Golf and the other initiatives we have for the game in Northern Ohio.”
