NOGA Announces 2023 Scratch Series Schedule

The Northern Ohio Golf Association has released its Great Lakes Auto Scratch Series schedule for 2023. The upcoming season will consist of 12 scratch tournaments plus two season-long match play competitions, with several firsts being part of this year’s story.

NOGA will kick off the 2023 season at a course that appears for the first time in its tournament rotation, Boulder Creek Golf Club in Streetsboro.

Then the Series will twice visit courses in the Toledo area for the rotation’s first time, with a Four-Ball event at Toledo Country Club and a Stroke Play tournament at Sylvania Country Club.

The final new feature of 2023 is that the season-ending Lewis Cup competition will not have a player entry fee for the first time in its history. As a reward for earning a top-12 spot in the Amateur and Senior Player of the Year Points Lists, NOGA will cover all player costs for the two-day Westfield Country Club event.

All NOGA Scratch Series events are open to any amateur golfer, male or female 19 years of age or older, holding an active NOGA/GHIN Handicap Index® at the time of registration from an authorized NOGA member club. The Handicap Index requirement to enter a Scratch Series event is 5.4 or lower. Players who currently are not a member of a NOGA GHIN Club (or those who want to change their affiliation) can join our 520+ member NOHIO.GOLF Club to gain eligibility for these NOGA events.
