Classic Course Slated for Ohio’s U.S. Open Sectionals

Players who make it through U.S. Open local qualifying in Cleveland and want to stay in Ohio for Sectional Qualifying (to compete against a host of PGA Tour pros after the Memorial, no less!) have a Top 100 classic course to look forward to playing as a bonus.

The USGA has announced that Scioto Country Club will join Brookside Golf & Country Club as the Sectional Qualifying sites for Ohio, with the 36-hole qualifying event played on Monday, June 2nd.

From there, the top players will advance to the 2014 U.S. Open to be held in Pinehurst, N.C. on June 12-15.

Scioto replaces The Lakes Golf and Country Club from last year’s rota.

Scioto will also be the site of the 2016 U.S. Senior Open Championship.
