Four NEOH Players Earn 2018 PGA Tour Latinoamérica Status

 
John Chaney of Gates Mills, Ross Beal of Canton, Jake McBride of Hartville and Jake Scott of Strongsville have earned status on the 2018 PGA TOUR Latinoamérica through the recently completed USA Q-School event at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL.

John Chaney Gates Mills OHChaney (left), who played college golf at Wittenberg, has played 11 events in the past two seasons on PGA TOUR Latinoamérica. He shot 71-67-70-72=280 (-8) to finish in a tie for second place in the 2018 qualifier. Chaney is fully exempt for the first half of the 2018 PGA TOUR Latinoamérica season.

Ross Beal Canton OHBeal (right) finished in a tie for 11th position then won a playoff for the last fully exempt spot available. Beal shot 72-68-73-72=285 (-3) at the qualifier. In his career, Beal has made 21 starts on PGA TOUR Canada, but none in Latin America.

Jake McBrideMcBride (right) finished T16 after shooting 73-72-68-74=287 (-1), earning conditional status for the start of the 2018 PGA TOUR Latinoamérica season.

Jake Scott Strongsville OHScott (left) also earned conditional status, shooting 67-72-76-76=291 (+3) to finish T27.

The top 35 and ties earned conditional status and will be eligible for the performance reshuffle as the season progresses.

PGA Tour LatinoamericaPlayers from additional Q-Schools held in Mexico, Argentina and Columbia through Feb 2nd will earn the same playing opportunities for 2018.

The official tournament schedule for the 2018 PGA TOUR Latinoamérica season has yet to be announced.
