Green’s Maxwell Moldovan has his first collegiate victory. The Ohio State Buckeye’s sophomore broke through and won the NEXUS Collegiate at The Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas yesterday.
Moldovan outlasted the field in tough, windy conditions on a challenging golf course. The average score for the three days was 79.87 and Moldovan shot rounds of 72-73-77 to finish at 6-over par. That was two shots better than a trio of players. He made 10 birdies on the week, which was second-best in the field.
This was Moldovan’s sixth Top 10 finish of his career and his third consecutive this season.
