Uniontown’s Maxwell Moldovan shot 71 at both the Longue Vue Club and Oakmont Country Club to finish at 2-over par 142 and make it into the Round of 64 matches at the 121st U.S. Amateur Championship.
Moldovan earned the 58th seed and faces 7th-seeded Van Holmgren of Plymouth, MN in his first match. Because of rain delays that extended the stroke play sessions to three days, that first match just began this morning, Thu Aug 12 at 7:50a.
