Mud Run Golf Course & Driving Range may be one of the best kept golf secrets in Northeast Ohio. This nine hole layout was designed by Craig Schreiner, ASGCA, and has been referred to as a look of “low country” golf across 9 manicured holes.
The par-34 golf course has five sets of bent-grass tees that can accommodate golfers from beginners to the most skilled players. The course stretches to 2,800 yards from the back tees and was built in 2003. The nine-hole golf course sits on 85 acres surrounded by wetlands and woods. Electric carts and pull carts are available.
Along side the course is Akron’s best driving range, two practice putting greens, and a one acre chipping / putting green. Also on the property are a pavilion for golf outings and the beautiful 4,000 square foot clubhouse with snack bar, pro shop, and banquet room.
The facility also serves as the home for The First Tee of Greater Akron, a youth development organization that serves to teach golf skills and promote character development through the game of golf.
